Does anyone else ever get tired of trying to “keep up appearances” and “keep up with the Joneses”? What about “keepin it real”? There is a quote that I love that pretty much sums it up: “Let the world know you as you are, not as you think you should be, because sooner or later, if you are posing, you will forget the pose, and then where are you?” ~Fanny Brice. For a long time I was concerned with getting the approval of people and only showing the “good parts” of me. I thought that if I screwed up, I had a major price to pay and God was gonna be mad at me. Well, after going through a depression and making some serious mistakes (all which I attribute to being in my twenties) my eyes (and heart) were opened. My God is a God of forgiveness and unconditional love. There is no one that can take that away. I am proud of the woman I am because though I have made mistakes, I have learned from them. This blog is just my ramblings and rants and some major boasting of my children. Hey, I have bragging rights, ok?
